Ritchie graduated from Salford University with a first class honours degree in Physiotherapy.
A retired Paralympic swimmer who achieved a silver medal at the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games along with multiple World and European titles. Ritchie developed a keen interest in Physiotherapy whilst receiving rehabilitation for his underlying Cerebral Palsy and numerous swimming related injuries. He has worked in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy within the NHS and private practice since 2006 and for British Para Swimming for a further eight years, contributing to 73 Paralympic medals across two Paralympic cycles. A very proud member of ParalympicsGB and Commonwealth Games Team England and a recipient of the Mussabini Medal.
Ritchie currently lecturers at The University of Salford on the Physiotherapy Degree programme and is based at Worsley Physio Clinic 3 days a week, specialising in shoulder injuries and shoulder performance.

Since graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University, Will has worked in several areas of practice within the NHS, including Musculoskeletal Medicine, Rheumatology, Cardiology, and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation. Will now works in a senior role as a Musculoskeletal Specialist, and also as a clinical educator, helping to train the next generation of Physiotherapists.
Will’s passion, however, lies within sports injury rehabilitation. As a previous recipient of the Physiotherapy Sports Prize, Will has a strong clinical interest in the treatment and management of injuries in both runners and cyclists, and has experience working with Olympic and World Championship level athletes. Will is keen to help rehabilitate people of all abilities and he gains huge satisfaction from enabling his clients to get back to doing what they love the most; whether that’s international competition or just walking the dog!
Will has also completed his training as a Retül bike fitter, and now also has an active role in providing the bike fitting and 3D motion capture analysis service at Worsley Physiotherapy clinic; his strong background in sports injury management has helped Will shape this service towards both the performance-orientated cyclist, and the cyclist who is returning from or managing an injury.
Outside of work, Will is a competitive distance runner and Duathlete who’s accolades include several County Championship titles, numerous race wins, and holds PB’s of 2hr 27mins for the marathon and 14:46 for 5k. He also spends an unusual amount of time fiddling with his many bicycles and trying to learn to play various musical instruments!

Peter graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2012. He began his career as a Junior NHS Physiotherapist at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals in London, gaining knowledge and skills in a diverse range of specialities including Orthopaedics and amputee rehabilitation. He then specialised as a Musculoskeletal therapist in the North-West before progressing to a Senior MSK Physiotherapist role in the NHS, whilst also developing valuable experience in the Private Physiotherapy sector since 2016. He currently works in a split role as an NHS First Contact Practioner based in GP practices, responsible for early management of patient’s MSK problems, utilising further investigations such as X-ray imaging, and liaising with specialists to support patient care.
Peter has completed a Masters in Advanced Physiotherapy with Distinction from the University of Salford. He is committed to further developing his own practice through undertaking of various CPD courses and training, including Pilates and MSK Acupuncture. Peter has a diverse sporting interest, as well as passion for sports injuries rehabilitation as a Physiotherapist. This includes qualification as a British Gymnastics Assistant Club coach and gaining Physiotherapy experience working with a semi-professional football club. Liz Mahon
Liz is a registered nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition, has a PhD in Endurance Sports Nutrition and a postgraduate diploma in sports nutrition with the International Olympic Committee.
For over a decade Liz has worked as a lecturer, researcher and practitioner in the fields of both public health and sport. She has developed and led research-informed degree programmes in Sport, Nutrition and Health at Liverpool John Moores and Glyndwr Universities and as a result, her own practise is similarly evidence-based. She has worked with many organisations, sports clubs and athletes providing nutritional guidance; assessment of dietary intake; body composition analysis; and fuelling and catering for events. Liz enjoys opening up new areas for possible improvement by helping clients focus on how nutrition can complement their work and training.
As an athlete herself, she understands the challenges of training and fuelling correctly. His previous role was full time academy physiotherapist for Sunderland AFC providing first aid cover, diagnosis and treatment for a number of age groups, although primarily working with the U18/U23 squad.

I then went on to complete my Masters in Physiotherapy at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2019, where I went on to gain 4 year’s experience as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist within the NHS. I joined Liverpool Football Club Academy part-time Physiotherapist. I was then appointed the first team Senior Physiotherapy assistant role at Huddersfield Giants RLFC. In the same year reaching the Challenge cup final.
At the end of 2023, I joined Liverpool FC Academy as full time 15-16s lead Physiotherapist.
Alongside these roles, I have and continue to work with Official Sport Services since 2016 providing elite sports treatment to national and international sports teams such as; NFL Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants, New Zealand All blacks Rugby Union, Women’s England netball, Australia and New Zealand rugby league teams to name a few. Most recently I have worked with United Autosports who recently won the World series Le Mans 24 hour race in June.
Overall, I try and create a dynamic and enjoyable environment for patients and athletes from both a mental and physical aspect, in order to optimise their rehab so they experience and receive the best quality of care. Amy is a Sport and Exercise Psychologist accredited through the British Psychological Society, and a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) accredited Practitioner Psychologist.
Amy also works as an Associate Professor in Sport Psychology and Coaching at Liverpool John Moores University, and has a PhD in Sport Psychology. With over 50 publications in sport psychology and coaching, Amy is passionate about evidenced based practice and underpinning everything she does.
Amy has been working as an applied Sport and Exercise Psychologist for over 15 years and supports a wide range of athletes, coaches, and organizations; from professional football teams, to Olympic Medalists, to recreational athletes. She also has a mixed sporting background, having been a high-level junior tennis player, a national league basketballer, ultra-marathon runner and more recently, triathlete. Amy has competed in full Ironman distance (IM UK), 70.3, and the European Championships standard distance triathlon.

Kathryn has worked in the clinic for the last fifteen years alongside other working commitments. She has worked in the NHS as a Senior Physiotherapist in Musculoskeletal Outpatients, as well as various football clubs. She has worked for Manchester United Soccer Schools, Leigh Genesis Football Club as the Head Physiotherapist and at Blackpool Football Club with the Reserves, Youth Team and Centre of Excellence.
Her last footballing role was as the Head Physiotherapist of Liverpool Ladies Football Club. She is now based full-time at the clinic.
